Fellowship on LugRadio

11 Jul 2006

LugRadio is in just under two weeks (Sat 22 Jul to Sun 23 Jul) and the OpenDocument Fellowship has been invited to have a stand. Ian and I will be there representing the Fellowship. We'll be there from Saturday noon onwards. Alex Hudson will be around to talk about the Hula project. If any of you can make to LugRadio please come on over!

For those of you in the UK, LugRadio is in Wolverhampton University Students' Union, Wulfruna Street Wolverhampton WV1 1LY on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd.

We don't have a lot of time to prepare, but there are a few simple things we can do so we don't have an empty stand:

  • Get a banner done.
  • Finish the white paper and bring a few copies.
  • Some fliers about the Fellowship.

There's probably no point in bringing CDs like we did for the SCALE conference, because everyone here will already have all the software. Also, there's no time to get books (like we did for SCALE). So we'll have to take a different angle than we did at SCALE. I think that our main focus here should be:

  • Get some people into the Fellowship who can help. In particular, people who can help with development projects, like the XSLTs (Alex posted about this).
  • Hand out copies of the white paper for those who have contacts with government agencies.

If any of you can make it to LugRadio I'd love to meet you.

I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on this.
