Alex Hudson selected to develop HTML to ODF conversion toolkit
19 Oct 2006
The Fellowship's Projects Committee has selected Alex Hudson's proposal for an HTML to ODF conversion toolkit. Alex is a technologist primarily interested in the web, usability, programming and parts of operating systems. He is a member of the Open Source Consortium, the Association For Free Software, and the OpenDocument Fellowship.
The response to the Fellowship's tender was overwhelming. We received eleven good proposals, most of which were top-notch. The choice between the top two contenders was very difficult. It is really a shame that we could choose only one.
We encourage all the unsuccessful tenderers to submit proposals for later projects, and in the meantime to join the Fellowship and work on some of the unfunded projects.
More information about the conversion toolkit is on this page: http://opendocumentfellowship.org/development/projects/html2odf
